Hamilton PAL Safety Town is a summer safety program designed to teach pre-K children pedestrian safety, playground safety, fire safety, home product safety, online safety, stranger danger and more! Safety Town utilizes Hamilton Police Division's Educational Services Officers, as well as Hamilton Township Board Certified Elementary School Teachers to instruct the children in various topics. The town is located in the rear of Hamilton Township Police Department's parking lot. The town consists of streets, sidewalks, buildings, and fully functional traffic and pedestrian signals.
Safety Town operates for 8 weeks each summer. There are four 2-week sessions. Sessions last two hours and children can be enrolled in either the AM session (8:30 am - 10:30 am) or the PM session (12:30 pm - 2:30 pm). The program operates from the basement of the Hamilton Township Public Library. Therefore, this program is rain or shine. As children will be riding pedal go-karts, ALL children are required to bring and wear bicycle helmets.
Cost for the program is $100.00 for the two-week session. Program fee includes certificates, t-shirts, and lanyards/IDs.
2025 registration will open after the new year. Please follow our Facebook page for additional updates.
